First Birthday Onesie Tulle (tutorial)

Hello,I would like to share the guest blog post I had over at The Taylor House last week.

This was my first ever guest post and I was more then excited and thankful!
So here it is the tutorial on how you can make your very on
 First Birthday Onesie Tulle.

I made this for Hannah's first birthday !I made one with no 3 on it for big sister Emma as well.They are simple to make as I used hot glue instead of needle and thread because it works faster and after the party they went straight in the Memory Box.

Here is what  you need :

tulle(net)in the color you like,

some felt in the same or similar color as your tulle

hot glue 

your onesie or t-shirt .

Start by cutting out 60-80 circles of tulle .(if you think you will need more you can cut as you go) ...it works faster if you fold your fabric as many times as you can and then cut out your circles,don't worry about the uneven edges they won't show in your finished design.

Draw the number on your felt and cut it out - this works as a base for your tulle.

Fold your circle in half and then fold it again and start to glue it down to your felt base.Make it as big or as ruffled as you want.

Now glue it to the onesie and you are done.

Easy right?

Mini puff pastry chocolate rolls

These rolls are one of our family favourites.They are so easy , fast and delicious,you will love it!It is on your table, done in max 20 min!Great for tinny toddler hands and delicious next to a cup of milk(or tea) for breakfast.

You will need:

Puff pastry ,I buy mine from the store,but you can make it ,if you have the time, and keep it in your freezer in batches.
Nutella - chocolate and hazelnut spread.
Cinnamon
Egg wash (one egg mixed with a little bit of water)

Roll out your dough,mine was ready rolled,but I like it to be a little more thin.Spread the Nutella and sprinkle the cinnamon all over ,leaving 1 cm clear for the egg wash.The cinnamon brings out the chocolaty taste even more.The egg wash works like glue,it holds it together.

Now roll it in to one big roll.Brush on some more egg wash all over the top

 and cut it in to small rolls.

Place them on a greased (oil or butter)baking sheet like pictured ,and bake for 10-12 min or until golden, at 180C (350 F).

Done!

WIWW - Pinterest inspiration

        Because the weather here is crazy...it's snowing..and raining..yes, at the same time!!Just a few days ago Emma was asking for snow and I was trying to explain her that the winter is gone, this is spring time,and we did all kind of springy crafts and plant flowers.......she must be very confused...so am I!
For this edition of What I wore Wednesday I give you some Pinterest inspiration from my style board to make me fell better!:)

Jungle Book fan

Emma is a jungle book fan.She watches it every morning.

The Jungle Book 2 is her favourite.

I'm honestly really happy that she likes this more then all the princesses and fairy cartoons...she was crying(and looking at her self in the mirror ) because she doesn't have wings and she can't fly like they do...and begging her daddy for some wings..not just any wings..Green ones!:) 

Now she is Shanti .She pretends she's searches for Mogli jumping on the big rooks(her books) to cross the river in to the jungle calling for Mogli.

Funny kid.Love her little creative mind!

Bowling Frogs - tutorial

Here it is, as  promised, the tutorial for the bowling frogs and the party mascot the Frog Prince that I made for the girls birthday party posted here.

You will need acrylic paint and six tin cans.

 Try to use the ones that have a pull top lid, so the can is left with a smooth, clean edge after it's opened.

I used one of my girls book for inspiration but you can google "frog prince" and you will have plenty of choices to draw the prince on..Each one looks different.I painted everything with two coats to create a good solid color.

Here are the step by step in pictures.

I painted on some dots to make them look more "realistic".:)

Simple and easy.

I used a soft ball to toss at the bowling pins.

The kids had fun playing this game.
